CEMLA Board of Governors Meeting

On May 9, 2024, CEMLA's Board of Governors met in Madrid, Spain, to discuss and make decisions on a number of strategic and operational issues of the Center. Among the items discussed, the Minutes of the previous meeting (held in Marrakech in October 2023) were approved, as well as the 2023 Activity Report and CEMLA's Financial Statements and Retirement Plan as of December 31, 2023.
With regard to the budget, the 2023 Executed Budget was authorized, as well as the 2024 Modified Budget. Additionally, the Board of Governors reviewed and approved CEMLA's Programmatic Structure and Historical Revenue and Expenditure Series for the years 2015 to 2023. Significant regulatory updates were also discussed, including the approval of the Administrative Rule for Budget Preparation and Control and the Administrative Rule for Procurement of Goods and Services Contracting, in order to strengthen efficiency in resource management.
Finally, it was decided that the Banco de España will continue to chair the Board of Governors until May 2025, allowing the new Governor of the Banco de España to assume leadership on behalf of the institution.
