CEMLA/FSI Virtual Policy Implementation Meeting: Liquidity Risk Scenario Analysis

The purpose of this annual seminar is to address issues relevant to the operationalization of policy actions in the area of financial stability. It is jointly organized between CEMLA and the Financial Stability Institute (FSI) of the Bank for International Settlements (BIS) and will be held in virtual format on March 4-5, 2025.
The seminar is aimed at improving the understanding of how central banks and supervisory authorities can best monitor liquidity risks using scenario analysis or stress testing. The agenda of the event covers an overview of different approaches to liquidity stress testing, the lessons learned from the 2023 banking turmoil, and country experiences from Latin America.
This seminar represents an opportunity for financial stability technical units to learn about the state-of-the-art methodologies and technical standards used in other central banks to fulfill macroprudential regulation and financial supervision mandates. This seminar is aimed at staff members from central banks and supervisory authorities at all levels who are involved in financial stability analysis and seek to enhance their understanding of liquidity risk scenario analysis.
