Content
The course covers the fundamentals of Machine Learning, selected methods, and their connections with conventional statistical methods. It addresses practical challenges in adopting Machine Learning and provides a forum for discussing strategies for developing and implementing Machine Learning models. It includes lectures and practical sessions with examples and exercises in R.
Objective
The objective is to introduce participants to Machine Learning fundamentals, analyze selected methods, and discuss practical challenges associated with their adoption. It aims to facilitate knowledge exchange among countries by providing a platform for participants to present and discuss strategies for developing and implementing Machine Learning models.
Aimed at
The course is targeted at data-savvy professionals in fields such as information technology, statistics, and research departments from CEMLA’s Membership and collaborating institutions. Participants should have a fundamental understanding of data analysis and statistical software.
