Discussed will be best practices in combating counterfeiting, the role of central bank campaigns and educational activities in combating counterfeiting, and the development of centers for the analysis of counterfeit currency.

Objective

Review the general situation of currency counterfeiting in different countries and new developments in the techniques used by counterfeiters. In particular, international counterfeiting statistics and new developments identified in the last three years in the techniques used by counterfeiters will be analyzed, among other topics.

Aimed at

Member central bank officials (associates and collaborators), as well as representatives of agencies responsible for the prosecution of counterfeit currency crime. Attendees are expected to actively participate in the discussion of the proposed topics.
