CEMLA Mexico City, Mexico
Hybrid format
The V Central Bank Conference on Environmental Risks is CEMLA's flagship initiative for building capacity in the incorporation of environmental and climate risks into the operations and decision-making processes of central banks and financial supervisors. Organized under the Financial Climate Risk Center (CFRC), the conference provides a platform for CEMLA members to enhance their financial supervision and stability frameworks in response to the challenges posed by climate change and environmental degradation.
Since 2022, the Conference has adopted a group technical assistance format, enabling participants to engage with global best practices shared by leading central banks, governments, and multilateral institutions. The 2025 edition will be held in Mexico City on October 30 and 31, in hybrid format, combining in-person and virtual participation to maximize accessibility and collaboration. This conference is aimed at staff members from central banks and supervisory authorities at all levels seeking to enhance their understanding of climate-related financial risks.
