Face-to-face format

This research workshop represents a platform in which CEMLA member institutions can engage with the latest advances in cutting-edge applied research in financial stability and related fields. The workshop builds on a long-standing effort to promote financial stability research, with a first related conference held in 2021 together with the Banco de México, the Bank of Canada, and the Journal of Financial Stability. This event has played a pivotal role in strengthening the research capabilities of central banks by connecting their financial stability and research units with innovative methodologies and critical insights from leading experts. The workshop has consistently featured internationally renowned academics as keynote speakers, including Iftekhar Hasan (Fordham University), Victoria Ivashina (Harvard Business School), Atif Mian (Princeton University), and Viral Acharya (New York University) along with special sessions dedicated to Latin America and the Caribbean sponsored by the Latin American Journal of Central Banking (LAJCB).

For its fourth edition in 2025, the Conference will be held in Dallas, USA, hosted by the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas in a face-to-face format on November 24-25, 2025. This workshop is aimed at staff members from central banks and supervisory authorities at all levels interested in financial stability research and related fields.
