Course on Macroprudential Policy: Strategy & Implementation

The Center for Latin American Monetary Studies (CEMLA) held the Course on Macroprudential Policy: Strategy & Implementation in a virtual format from April 14 to 16, 2026. The course brought together 112 representatives from 25 institutions, including CEMLA members and other organizations.

The course focused on the implementation of macroprudential policies and their role in promoting financial stability. During the sessions, experts from central banks, international organizations, academia, and financial authorities discussed the objectives of macroprudential policy, systemic risk assessment, institutional frameworks, and the design and implementation of macroprudential instruments. Participants also exchanged views on current challenges, recent developments, and international experiences related to the use of macroprudential policies to strengthen financial system resilience.
