During the Seminar, knowledge will be shared on the following key topics of interest to CEMLA Member Central Banks: data governance and Big Data; strategies for adopting Artificial Intelligence; economic forecasting using Data Science and Artificial Intelligence; AI in financial regulation and supervision (RegTech and SupTech); AI applications in statistical production and quality control; other uses of AI such as information extraction, virtual assistants, and chatbots; data science for confidentiality and anonymization; and innovative experiences in Data Science, among others.

Objective

The seminar seeks an exchange of ideas and experiences in central banking in Latin America and the Caribbean on the progress made and initiatives being carried out in the field of Big Data and Data Analytics, as well as to learn how these techniques are increasingly being incorporated into the usual instrumentation of such banking and identify possibilities for collaboration on these issues between central institutes in the region.

The seminar is primarily aimed at economists and data scientists involved in AI, Big Data or Data Analytics projects.
