The seminar will address, among other topics, microdata bases of interest to researchers, data governance aspects of a data laboratory, such as confidentiality and the provider-laboratory-researcher relationship, among others, organizational, legal, information and human resources aspects related to the creation of a data laboratory. The experiences of the INEXDA consortium and of the BELab laboratory of Banco de España will also be reviewed.

Objetive

Exchange experiences and ideas on the development, problems and benefits of setting up data laboratories in central banking.

Aimed at

Officials of the Central Banks of Latin America and the Caribbean, preferably economists, statisticians and researchers interested in the creation of data laboratories or access to microdata, both for internal and external researchers.
